Full Root-level Access
What is "Full Rool-level Access"? Does it actually give you complete & full control of a server?
Having full root-level access means that you will be able to access and change each file on a specific server, including all the system files, and to change system settings or set up server-side software that may be necessary for certain scripts and even offline apps in order to function effectively. A server is accessed at the root level with a root user, who has full privileges to do all of the aforementioned things. Your root user can also create other users. For security reasons, you are advised to have another account for everyday tasks and to use the root account only if you actually need to perform a specific task on your hosting server. The root-level access function will provide you with full control of your server from any existing location, given that you have the user credentials.

When you buy a
virtual private servers from us, you will have full root-level access in 3 cases - if the server includes no web hosting Control Panel at all, or if you select cPanel or DirectAdmin during the order process. In the first case, you can modify any part of the system through a Secure Shell console, while in the second, you'll still be able to use SSH in order to connect and to make adjustments, however you'll also have a graphical interface accessible to take care of your world wide web content and almost all of the system settings. The root access makes our virtual server plans a very good choice if you would like to run any software which you can't set up in a regular shared website hosting account. With the last Control Panel option - Hepsia, you'll be able to connect by using SSH and to manage the content on your hosting server, yet the root access privileges will be more limited.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers Hosting
When you select the cPanel or the DirectAdmin hosting Control Panel, you'll have full root access to your new
dedicated server, no matter which of our packages you will choose during the signup process. The same is valid when you choose not to use a Control Panel at all. All our servers provide you with the chance to run both very resource-demanding applications which are too heavy for a shared website hosting account and apps which have specific requirements as to what the program environment on your web hosting server should be. The latter is something that can't be achieved on a shared machine, as no server-side software can be set up on it. The difference between the aforementioned choices is that without a Control Panel, server management can be done only from a console, whereas if you obtain cPanel or DirectAdmin, the majority of system settings along with your website content can be managed through a graphical interface. If you pick Hepsia, which is the last Control Panel option on the registration page, you'll have a server with restricted root access.
